Amilcar Gutiérrez Durán

Attorney Gutiérrez Durán has accumulated work experience in various institutions and organizations. In his early career, he spent three years at a national firm, initially as an intern and legal assistant. During this time, he managed procedures related to both major and minor civil cases, criminal processes, labor disputes, and administrative matters. His responsibilities included tracking cases to ensure the timely submission of relevant documents, verifying processes before the Supreme Court of Justice, and conducting transactions in the Public Registry for the registration of legal documents.

Subsequently, he held the position of lawyer in the Second Instance Department of the Consumer Protection and Competition Defense Authority for two years. Here, he distinguished himself by drafting judgment projects in appellate processes against resolutions related to violations of Law 45 of 2007. During his tenure, he developed a robust methodology for conducting investigations and analyzing national and international regulations, crucial skills to solidly support the decisions he crafted.

Currently, he serves at the Electoral Tribunal, amassing over four years of experience in various areas of the institution. In his initial years, he worked in the Legal Advisory Directorate, drafting decree projects and participating in public procurement. Later, in the Central Panama Regional Special Office, he was responsible for drafting resolutions related to the Civil Registry and ID issuance, as well as handling Human Resources matters. Presently, in the Administrative Electoral Courts, he drafts judgment projects for decisions related to Electoral Organization, showcasing his ongoing updates and dedication to public service.
